How to change PHP version in CPanel
In this post you’re going to learn how to change php version in CPanel and the different ways you can switch between different PHP versions from your naijawebhost Hosting Control panel.
Using an older version of PHP can have several negative impacts on a website:
- Security vulnerabilities: Older versions of PHP may contain security vulnerabilities that have been addressed in more recent versions. This leaves the website open to potential hacking and other security threats.
- Compatibility issues: Newer web technologies may not be supported in older versions of PHP, causing compatibility issues and potentially breaking parts of the website.
- Performance issues: Newer versions of PHP often include performance improvements, so using an older version can result in slower website performance.
- Lack of support: With the release of newer versions of PHP, support for older versions may be discontinued, leaving the website with no support if issues arise.
Overall, it is recommended to keep your PHP version up to date for the best website performance, security, and compatibility.
